    Unhappy Big fat ugly pores

As a teenager i had terrible skin, i didnt have full blow acne, but it was borderline.
Upp until i had MJ i had largish pores, but they were manageable and didnt look terrible.

Aince having Mj they are awful.
I have seen several beauty therapists/skin care specialists and have tried a range of botanical/natural products.
I find thateven the lightest of mostuirsers leaves my face oily.
if i wear foundation of any type i look like my face is a gold ball.

    I am sick of it.
I dont mind spending money to get rid of the big pores, but i do object to paying good money for it to make no difference at all.

Anyone been in the same situation? I know that i will probably always have visable pores, but i dont want everyone standing 20metres away being able to see them iykwim...

What are your best products for this problem?

My mum used Pro Active and thought it was good...
    Have you tried WitchHazel?
I've also heard that the Cleanence K range of stuff from Avene is meant to be good

If i think of anything else I'll post it. I haven't had this problem myself so only know what others have talked about.
Hopefully someone will be in soon and can help you more.

hey sweetie, Have you tried any products with fruit acid? AHA (alpha hydroxy acids)? Lactic acid/glycolic really assist with managing oil in your skin (without drying your skin out like Proactive and other products with high peroxide?) in them. Fruit acid peels can be done by a salon over a course of 6 weeks and are usually around $50 a facial depending on where you are. They really assist in refining pores - note refine not completely reduce - as they control the oil and also incidence of blackheads that leave large pores after they are removed
I am a beauty therapist so feel free to PM me if you want any specific product recommendations. I try to use the most natural products whereever I can however, sometimes you need to use a more 'active' product to assist with specific problems!

    Thanks Guys,
Joeve, all the stuff that i have triued over the last 2 years has been botanical,to a point, i used dermalogica, Murad and i cant think for the life of me what i am using now... but all quite fruit active apaerntly.
I dont get reactions to the more 'active' ones, infact barely feel a tingle (if that matters)
If you could recommend anything i would really appreciate it, i know that i need my pores, but really i am sure that they do not need to be the size that they are!
I am off to clear out my PM box, couldnt send you one as it was full

Sunshine - i use to use witchhazel, but i found that it just dried out my skin and would only last for a little while.
    Thanks

Have you tried a kaolin-clay based masque? Its sucks all the oil out and might help, maybe try once or twice a week.
