Dating scan at 7 weeks, will there be a heartbeat?

Hi everyone.

Iv just booked a dating scan for when ill be 7 weeks preg and i was wondering if there should be a heartbeat at that stage? I think i might be a day or two further along than what i think also as my hcg at 4wk 4days was 1602.

With ds we had our first scan at 12 weeks so there was a def a heartbeat then and im just a bit worried that we wont see a heartbeat at 7 weeks. Should i make the scan later or should there be a flicker there for me to see at 7 weeks.

I've always had a heartbeat at my 6 week dating scans, but I do know that it's fairly common not to as well.

I've had scans for both my kids at 7 weeks, yep definite heart beat with them! They look like a little jellybean wiggling around on the screen!

there should be sweety but if not dont freak as yes it could be to early ,we had a h/b at 5 weeks 6 days a tiny little fetal pole lol so cute i wish you much luck and congrats.

I had a scan at 7 weeks plus a few days and there was a tiny little flickering heartbeat. Just don't panic if there isn't because it could be a bit too early!

If your dates are right, a heartbeat can be detected from 6 weeks.
