Hey i am tryingto lose weight really fast! I am about to try the biggest loser shakes and my friend has been on the Tony Ferguson shakes for 2 weeks and lost 4 kg so i am hoping they are similar... \
Does anyone have any success stories with weight loss shakes?
They do supress your appetite the only thing is once you stop and start eating you put it back on so make sure you are eating with them well small meals or snacks!!!
Hi - I've been on them this year, I've lost about 7kgs. I've also cut out the truckloads of chocolate, biscuits and cakes I used to eat and have eaten more bananas this year than in my entire life before.
They suggest having two a day to get you going, but I don't think thats a long term/natural thing to do. And yeah, if you put it back on again once you start eating regular meals, then whats the point.
I don't know much about weight loss, but I have heard that the early weight you lose is fluid and thats why some people drop 2+ kilos a week early on. I have the thought that it took a while to pack it on, it's going to take a while to get it off.
with any diet you will put the weight back on IF you dont learn how to mantain the weight you have lost, thats why its important to follow a program through to the end.
As far as weight loss shakes go, personally I dont like them. You need to chew food to recognise that you have eaten, even though the calories are exactly the same you still feel hungry. Shake diets need one hell of a lot of motivation and compliance, and they dont allow for you to stray from the program. However I do know alot of people that have lost a lot of weight on shke diets and mantained it for years.
I was told by someone that had lap banding done that Optifast is the only medically recommended shake program on the market, because it has all the necessary nutrients etc. (not sure if thats true) but they are a bit dearer.
Good luck with it, if you have the will power then no harm giving it a try.
