Yes, mine did stop and start. It sounds pretty normal to me.
Just a TMI question
My lochia seemed to be almost cleared up a week ago. I was getting the occasional discharge but only needed a liner.
In the last day or two it seems to have come back. It is still a brown tinged blood and it increases with exertion. There is no odour and it doesn't look like AF, no real clots, just really tiny almost miniscule ones. Not enough to fill a pad but need a liner.
Just wanted to know if lochia can come and go or should I go and see the GP.
TIA
Spring.

Didn't wanna read'n'leave, but I have no personal experience, so this is from Wikipedia
Your bleeding will eventually taper to a normal period and then to spotting. The color of the flow will go from bright red, to brown to a yellow or whitish color as your uterus heals. It is normal to see an increase in amount or a darkening of the color of the blood if you do something more strenuous or move around more. This may be an indication that you need to take it easy.
This happened to me - came and went for a bit, then at around 4 weeks I got more clots and ended up back at OBs. Turned out I had an infection and needed ABs to clear it up. I didn't have any other symptoms either.
It could just be normal - maybe get it checked out just in case...?
Exactly the same as what has happened to me both times. The advice I give women at work is to seek medical advice if it goes back to bright red, painful or has an unpleasant odour or weird colour. Hope that helps darl.
Exactly the same thing happened with DD and seems to be happening again now. Last time I phoned the Ob's office and they didn't seem too worried about it, so I am hoping that it is fine. It seems a bit strange though doesn't it?!
I really appreciate all of your replies. I think I'll see how it goes over the weekend and if it continues to come and go I'll see the GP.
It's put mind at ease though to know In some circumstances it's normal
.
Thanks again
