    Thanks Maz

I have to do a medicated cycle and prolactin inteferes with it (and some ivf drugs are not good, though on that score I'm not 100% since I don't know exactly what I'll be on)

    anyway, I'm just sad.

Aww Marcellus The only comfort I can think of is to say, look what you will get as a result

Maz, it's because prolactin can inhibit implantation, the reason why breastfeeding can be a contraceptive in the first six months because the levels are so high. Most clinics will make sure you're not breastfeeding & some will do BTs to make sure your prolactin levels have dropped to normal levels before allowing you to do a cycle again. They say it's to give you the best possible chance at conceiving which is technically true, but I believe it's probably more likely to make sure their success rates have the best chance IYKWIM.

Huge hugs Marcey It is going to be a really big thing for you to do. I'll be there to virtually hand-hold along the way with this. A is such a gorgeous child, you & your boobs have done that. Amazing! Now the path is going to change for you and at the end, you'll have a brand new bubba to feed, sustain, nurture & comfort with your milk. Just like you have done with A. It's only really a kinda/sorta end, and a new beginning too.

Big it can be so hard making these kinds of decisions

I really like how Sarah put it, beautiful

You have done an awesome job, every drop of BM is a priceless gift that your little one will gain from for the rest of their lives

Having a cry is completely fine, it is such a special bond to BF, and for it to be nearing an end can be a very emotional time. Just take every feed as if it is the last and it makes it easier, as each extra feed is super special xxoo
