    When making Jam Drop Biscuits...

Do you flatten the biscuit before you put the jam in or do you make a little ball looking thing and put a dent in it and put the jam in??
It's been YEARS since i've made them and can't for the life of me remember.

I was just going to use a basic biscuit recipe or if someone has a yummy one they'd like to share i'm happy to listen

I always make a ball and then poke a little well in the top of it otherwise they spread too far but it depends on how you like your jam drops LOL - I prefer mine to be a thicker biscuit.

Thanks Trill. I'll try them thicker to start with. DD hasn't had them before so she won't know any different

i don't flatten mine - i keep them rolled into a ball than use the end of a wooden spoon to poke the holes in!
