Unhappy I think I have to face it....he has officially weaned.

Jack hasn't had boob for about 3 weeks He was down to one feed a day for a while (sometimes more if he was upset or tired) and then he just stopped! I would offer, but he just wasn't interested.
The funny thing is that now sometimes when I am sitting on the lounge he will climb on me and grab at my top, sometimes even have a mini tantrum trying to get to the boob. I'll lift my top, undo my bra (haven't given up the comfy maternity bras yet, lol), he'll put his open mouth in front of my nipple without actually touching it, then jump of my lap and run away laughing hysterically. Yes, I breed strange children...

Although I'm really sad that he has weaned (my goal was to make it to at least 2 years old) I am happy that HE has decided when to stop.....the true meaning of "Infant-led" I suppose.

Wow....I never thought you'd wean before me!
    Congrats Jack! Marlene.
Be proud that he did it all by himself & that you haven't had the 'trying to wean' guilt I've had a few times, lol. Of course I've given up trying again!
So when's the next one happening??

You are so amazing to have breastfed your gorgeous man for 20-21ish months! And I think you did an amazing thing by letting him wean when he was ready!

Well done, Maz!!! This is EXACTLY what you wanted and it's so wonderful that despite family opposition you and Jack managed to reach your goal of infant-led bfing! Aren't you proud of yourself??!

I think you deserve to reward yourself with something special. Before your body gets into gear for doing the same thing again.

Marlene - that is an amazing achievement!!!! Well done to you and Jack!!!!

I can understand how it would be so sad that he's weaned.... I think I'll feel the same way when DD weans herself one day..... not a day I look forward to! But it's wonderful he's done it himself

    Yay!

Congratulations on breastfeeding Jack for so long and allowing to wean when he was ready.

I noticed your ticker and I am so happy that you have made the decision to have another baby, I really think it is the right thing for you.

How fantastic that your little boy has chosen his own time - that's a truly precious gift.

All the best for next time too
