Unhappy i think DD has Conjunctivitis

i think Miss A has Conjunctivitis her right eye had a bit more sleep than usual in it this moring (she never really has any at all) but as the days gone on i have to keep cleanin it away (its also not a nice colour, kind of greeny/yellow) from her right eye, its also looking a little watery and red and she keep rubbing at it. then just then when i got her out of the car there was all this gunk around her eye lashes and in the corner of her eye
i have a Drs app tomorrow for her needles, can i wait til then or should i take her to the drs now? and also is there something that i can do now?
    thanks ladies

If you're bf her squirt some bm in her eye. I've found it's the best to help it clear. Should be right to wait until tomorrow just be super vigilant with hand washing as it's highly contagious.

    Hi There!

If you are breast feeding you can squirt some in her eye otherwise you can make up some salt water and use that instead. When you are wiping her eye only use one piece of cotton (or whatever you are using) per wipe and wipe from the inside (closest to nose) out. You can also buy saline from the chemist for under $5 I think

I find it tricky getting the squirts in her eye - it usually ends up all over her face lol! I find it easier expressing into a small container and using an eye dropper.

ETA- do it at least every feed too.

Yeah give it a squirt hun....DS1 had it when he was little and we used a cream ...that was before i was more aware of alternate methods! Just make sure you dont use the same cotton bud or anyhting on it twice or on the other eye!
    Poor bubba get better x
