    Steam mops

So I am so sick to death of crap mops that get all slimey and dirty after one or two uses so I'm looking into a steam mop. But I want to get some users opinions before I go and gets prices etc.
So do you have one, what's good about them, what's bad, like or loathe? What brand do you have and what ones should be avoided? Are the ones that do carpets stains too any good?

    TIA,
    Dan.

Hi dan, I was the same as you, I was sick of spreading dirty water around and not really cleaning and seeing DD's knees still dirty from crawling after I had washed the floor.
Just before xmas I brought a Kenwood 5000 steam mop, only for tiles etc not carpet. I absolutely love it and will never use a normal mop again. The only thing I dont like about it is that the cord is short and I have to use an extension cord for my house but I do have a large open space that I mop.
Other than the above I cant find anything else wrong with mine, it does a great job, floors come up looking nice and clean. We have wood look vinyl strips.
My mum has just brought the model down from the one I have and she loves it too.
If you have any other questions just ask.

We have the Kenwood 5000 steam mop also! Bought it 3mths ago and we love it.... we have alot of tiles to clean here too.... only problem with steam mops is they aren't very good at scraping the hard crusty bits of food stuck on the floor! so you need to get them off first with a brush or something!!! ..... other than that, i love our steam mop!

It was about $150 from Myer...
