What is the nicest chocolate you have ever had?

I want to get a really nice chocolate for Val Day for DH and I have heard Valhrona is yummy but have never tried it. It is not readily available in WA and if it is the largest size I can get is 90gr which doesn't look much! So aside from that and Lindt and Green and Blacks, any other suggestions? I don't have time for online shopping as it takes forever to get to little old Perth from over east!

The chocolate form Aldi is pretty yummy. As well as Whittikers (sp?) chocolates. I also love Baci chocolate. DH like forrero rocher chocolates. Hmmmm, will have to think about it!

I second the Aldi!! we did exhaustive research at work on hazelnut chocolate and tasted EVERY single brand on the market and Aldi was by far the best. (Sadly I am not a market researcher we are just lunatics LOL)

We don't have Aldi in WA

Lindt's the best! A bit expensive, but I find it so rich that you can't eat it all at once, so its worth it

Re: What is the nicest chocolate you have every had?

KatieRabbit, if you're willing to go into the city, there is an awesome choccy shop called Leonidas (sp?). It is between Dome and the church on st georges terrace and the little arcade it is in runs down to hay st. Their choccies are divine!!!

Also, how about the Chocolate Factory in the Swan Valley?

Yep, no Aldi here! Out trading hours don't suit them apparently!
Thanks Eluned for the tip- I may send one of my sisters there for a look as they both work there and pick me up all my 'town' stuff!
Lindt balls- they are our fav but looking for something diff!
Same with Haigh's thank you very much MG for your sweet (pardon the unintentional pun) offer. We get an aunt in Adelaide to get it for us quite often (we really love the choc coated berries!) and send it over.
Am I mad paying $30 for 90 grams of Valhrona??

Maxims is DIVINE! It's parisian chocolate.

Godiva is also very nice but to me isn't worth the price tag.

Valrhona is worth every penny. Any good chocolatier will tell you that.

If you had time to get an online order I would recommend Koko Black (they now sell online) and they are my most fave chocolatier in Australia.
