Does mouthwash really cause Cancer?

I use it every day, I can't go a day without it or I feel icky.

I've been searching and I find articles saying it does then others saying it doesn't. Does anyone know for sure?

Hi Tinks, I work at a dentist and the stock standard answer is that mouth wash with alcohol in it does not CAUSE oral cancer but can contribute to it along with other things in our modern day lifestyle such as smoking, drinking etc.... so if you like using a mouth rinse find a alcohol free one - Colgate Plaq - or Neutrafluor are two I can think of. It should state on the bottle if it is alcohol free or not. Hope that helps
