The hospital I had ds at referred me to the local health clinic, where they ran a "babies 0-3mths" group, sort of a new mothers get-together information thing to ask q's and weekly bub check up... Our mothers group formed from there!
Does anyone know of a Mothers Group in Brisbane, or how I should go about finding one (or where to look)? I've looked online and kept an ear to the ground, but can't find anything. I have a 3.5 month old girl. I live in the Newmarket/Ashgrove/Alderley area, but am happy to drive (within reason) to other areas.

I'm not sure how far it is but there is one I go to at Bridgeman Downs. It's near Carseldine/Aspley. It's called Playtime but I think there are others with the same name around. Also try checking out Playgroup Qld website.
I think there is one on Waterworks road - near St John's Wood. I can try and get more info for you if you are keen. I live in The Gap and am also looking for new mums on this side of town (driving to Strathpine etc. just isn't always practical for us), so if you are keen to meet for a cuppa, my boy and I would love too![]()
