    Popcorn disaster in microwave

Last Saturday night I had a cooking incident with popcorn in the microwave and it caught fire! The microwave still smells like burning popcorn and wondered how do I go about getting the smell out? I put a cup with bicarb soda in there to help absorb which I think helped a little but what else can I do?

    Try coffee.

Put a mug of coffee (and water) in the microwave and turn it on for a few mins until it's boiling all over the place. Then wipe it out and it should smell ok.

    Or

A bowl of water with bicarb and vanilla in and use the same directions for the coffee.
