    Limping Toddler

    Morning all,
Im taking my little man to the doctors later today but was just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this.

Ok so my 2yo fell down a slight hill last night, kinda twisting his leg and now his limbing, in fact this morning his taken to crawling so he doesn't have to walk. When he does walk coz he wants something he sooks the whole time.

Sounds to me like he has definitely injured himself. Hope your little guy is ok. How did things go at the Dr?

How can you tell it's not broken without an x-ray?

I'd be presenting to your ED and asking them to do the x-ray straight away, given his symptoms. Something has to be pretty painful to make a 2-year-old crawl.

I agree with Schmickers, I know it would have to be something pretty major for my DS2 to stop walking and start crawling again. I am really surprised the Dr didn't request an xray and just guess that it isn't broken. I truly hope your little guy doesn't have any breaks/fractures

I see your pint Schmickers but all i can tell u is what i know.
He does talk but crawls when he wants to get to things fast. The gp felt it etc and his ok with moving it and all that its only when he puts pressure on it that theres a problem and we cant get an x-ray before monday its all closed.

Besides the emergency department of course and he did tell me if alex gets in alot of pain, any swelling and any other signs its getting worse to go striaght to the hospital.

By this arvo his already learning if he holds onto things he can get around faster and the doc said from his ex when its broken they wont put any pressure on it they will just scream, where as a fracture will get worse over time, hence why he told us to head to hospital if it gets worse.

Im keeping a very close eye on him and trying to keep him busy with activities that keep him off his feet, like movies play dough, drawing and more
