    Soakers?

Does anybody know where I can find a place that sells woolen soakers?
And do they work the same as a cover? I've heard they need to be lanolised (sp?) But do they really keep in the moisture? I just think they are so cute and would love to try some out, but google doesnt know where to get them.
    TIA

Poopie - go to the monteressi shop behind Fred's in Kalista - they sell them there. And yes, they need to be lanolised but they sell that there too.

You're not keen on buying some online?

I know there are quite a few around on the congo malls that are wonderful. Have a look on ozebaby for crafty desires!

If you can knit (Or are keen to learn. I taught myself because I wanted to knit my own) then there are stacks of free patterns or you can buy one with all the variations you need for quite cheaply.

FYI soakers still let a bit of moisture evaporate and they may feel damp to the touch. They aren't a "waterproof" in the traditional sense.

Hi, I spoke to MIchelle from sustainable hemp products on line and she was really helpful, they have different types of wool covers which are already lanolised, there are care instructions on the website as well. I came across these when I googled bamboo velour nappies, they sell 'lushies' which look so nice! I would have been tempted to buy some on line but she says she does most markets so I will see the real thing at a market on the coast in May and will wait to then.
