Ali - perhaps we need to resurrect the - what domestic duties have you done today thread?

I know it used to help me get motivated when I could come on and cross things off. As well as see what others were doing. It meant that I knew I couldn't come on until I had something to cross off!

I recenly joined fly lady and have my housecleaning routine like this:

DD goes to bed at 7:30 each night and my fave shows generally start at 8:30 so that gives me 1 hour to:

Hang out a load of washing that finished as I got home from work
Put on another load of washing
Put the dishes in the dishwasher
Wipe the kitchen bench and wipe over the stove
Pack lunch and daycare bag for the next day
    Have a shower
Get mine and DD's clothes out for the next day

Then at 8:30 on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday I sit down to watch TV. While I'm watching I fold washing. During ad breaks one day a week I dust the lounge. Every day I will do some tidying in the lounge while watching TV. It's amazing what you can do that doesn't require much thinking while you watch TV.

Wednesday and Friday nights are my big clean nights where I do the kitchen and bathroom properly, including floors. I also tend to do my grocery shopping on a Friday night and DH puts DD to bed. Then by Saturday all I have to do is vacuum the carpets and change the sheets as well as washing. And Sunday I do as little as possible.
