Question Part time role in real estate?

Has anyone ever heard of this happening? I am DESPERATE for a part time role as this is all I can ever see me doing but I want it to be interesting too. Can our recommend a course to do or a strategy to get into the industry? I've done a Bachelor of Economics but now that I have a child it doesn't seem to count for anything as I can't seem to find a part time job It is such a conundrum, am seriously getting upset about it. Any tips would really help xox

Normally to work in real estate you will need to do one of the courses to be licenced. So check out your local Tafe to see what is available.

What type of role were you looking for? If you were looking for a sales role you may have a lot of trouble getting it part-time, also you would have a lot of trouble doing well part-time, as you need to be there for the sellers and buyers. Rentals might be a suitable area.

One thing I have found with part-time work is that whilst many people seem to work part-time, the work comes from them having first worked full-time, as opposed to the role starting off as part-time. I encountered many barriers a couple of years ago with this and am just starting the hunt for work again.

Good luck with this. Tell us how you go.

I used to see a lot of ads for part time RE receptionists for the weekends.

i'd also suggest you contact your local real estate agent. a lot of them offer courses and training and mentoring programs.

you may be able to get into property management on a part time basis. There are courses you can do at Tafe for property management.

I've worked as a realestate receptionist and you can do that part time.
