ok so im really confused, if anyone is out there and can help or shed some light on this dim situtation id really appreciate it!
so CCB is the amount of the child care that center link pay on your behalf and u then have to pay the out standing amount??
EXAMPLE: so if one day of care is $60.00 a day per child and your CCB is say 50% u pay $30 for that day? but if u have 2 kiddies in long daycare your rebate goes up say too maybe 80% if both kids are in care does that mean that u only pay the 20%? and so on am i correct?
a friend of mine is a single mum of 2 and both kids r in long day care 4 or 5 days a week i cant exactly remember now her rebate is 104% for both kids in care does that mean her entire weekly fee is covered by center link??
The percentage isn't worked out that easily unfortunately. It's quite complicated. Ask your daycare what your fee would be with your percentage, they'll be able to let you know. Centrelink can explain it to you, but be warned it is complicated lol.
the % is off the hourly rate which is some where around $3 so 50% CL pay $1.50 of the hourly rate up to 12 hours perday so $18 per day then you pay the remainder(all figures pulled out my bum but you get the method) in a $60 per day centre would be $42 that you pay and then you get the 50% back of your out of pocket expences quarterly efeectively making it $21 dollars a day...
the percentage is off a basic per hour rate (something around 3.60 per hour - but it's not exactly that)
centrelink pay your percentage of that, you pay the balance, plus the gap between the basic amount and the child care centres hourly fee
so, if the child care centre is 60.00 per day and charge for a 10 hour day, it's 6.00 per hour. if you get 50%, you get half the 3.60 (not the 6.00) so 1.80 rebated, and you pay the balance (4.20 per hour).
when you have more children in care, provided each child is in care for at least an hour a week (i think this still applies), you get the higher percentage for all children in care that week

: correcting my maths - it's LATE!
Yep it is $3.60/hour. It is easiest explained like a specialist who charges above the scheduled fee. The $3.60/hour is the recommended price, all centres charge above this, so what you pay depends on how much an hour more the centre charges.
