I don't know about herbal teas etc but I found that Chinese Medicine worked for me!

I had trouble conceiving my second (as you can see by my ticker - we got there!!) and after months of calculating and DTD at the right time etc we were stumped. We had no trouble conceiving DD our first. I decided to see a Chinese Doctor for advice and to be honest, never considered my libido. However, along with all the other questions was a question about my libido and I had to admit that it was pretty lacking. (I thought it was just mood and emotions - typical chick IYKWIM )

I loved the thoroughness of the initial consultation as we covered everything from energy levels, digestion, skin, sleep, libido, back pain (which I had but hadn't noticed as important), cycles etc. Anyway, to cut a long story short , the treatment had immediate and radical effects! I felt so much better physically in so many ways during the treatment and my libido increased and we conceived in the next cycle

I really felt it helped jog the body along to get itself back in order.

Hope that helps and is the sort of thing you are looking for.

There are a few out there that you can get from herbal shops. Which city are you in?

Are you breastfeeding? If you are Shatavari is a commonly used aphrodesiac which also helps milk production.

If you're not breastfeeding, ashwaganda, damiana and tribulis are all commonly used aphrodesiacs. I haven't tried tribulis but the other two worked well for me.

    Hi Stevie,

We took Royal Jelly to assist with our last IVF cycle (you can get it in 'fresh' form in a little jar that looks like lip gloss or in capsule form) from selected health stores.

Whilst we took it as a main reason for improving our embryo quality, its taken otherwise to help with overall health/fertility etc.

It does read on the label that it may increase libido - both DH & I found that it did this considerably for us
Big bonus, considering during an IVF cycle with all of the drugs, DTD at all is usually not something we did, as I am just always exhausted etc from the medication.
We took it daily (I took it in fresh form - it doesn't taste brilliant, but its only half a teaspoon!) - but DH took it in capsules.
From memory I think it took about 5-7 days before I noticed a big rise in my libido.

It definately was a noticable difference for us (although libido wasn't the reason we were taking it at the time, lol) - and obviously works as it should, because this was the first cycle we've ever done (7yrs worth) that worked as you can see in my ticker

I bought mine from a Go Vita store - if you can't find the product in stores near you I know you can also get it online.

There are many reasons why low libido can occur in someone.

From a TCM perspective, there isn't a 'one size fits all' solution.

Herbal teas, as beneficial and mild as they are, could still cause an individual some other issues down the track.

Your best bet would be to consult a professional (of any modality) and get their professional opinion. Its about treating the whole person, not the problem!
