Our poor Cavoodle is all backed up

We've been noticing lately that our almost 3 year old Cavoodle has been having trouble doing number 2's lately. It's been for the past week or so, we'll see her outside trying her hardest to get it to come out. The thing is, she has usually already done her business, but seems to keep trying for more to come out.

A recent checkup at the vet (few weeks back) didn't show anything abnormal. Any ideas on what it could be, or maybe some foods we can feed her to stop her straining?

Is she recently wormed?
Try adding some fish oil to her diet to free things up a bit. You can use the human capsules, just pierce and squeeze over the food.

At the moment we're mixing it up between a dog food roll (it's some natural brand), a natural wet pedigree pal tin, this dry food with yogurt in it and some veges every now and then.

Yes, we give her the drop every month and I believe it's a wormer drop as well?

And Fish Oil, haven't heard of feeding that to pets before. We've got heaps of it here, does it "get things moving" so to speak in pets?

Metamucil also works wonders - this was recommended by the vet for our dog. Just sprinkle a teaspoon over the dogs food.

Well it is recommended mainly for their skin health, but oil will help things move through a bit better too. I know tinned tuna in oil will do it for my dog -she loves tuna, so give it a go, can't hurt.

We give ours tinned sardines in oil every now and then Good for all the carnivores
