Bad Breath when burping 8 month old

My DD seems to have quite smelly burps. Her breath smells ok normally but when she burps it smells quite bad (not that nice milky smell anymore). I am cleaning her teeth, she has 4 BF a day plus three lots of solids. Is this something to worry about or normal? Probably noticed it first about 4 days ago.

I suppose if I could smell my own burps more (she often seems to burp right in my face) they wouldn't smell too good either?

I have the same issue with Charlie. Spoke to the mchn about it and she said it's fine as long as she doesn't seem to be in pain. when i thought about it rotting food wouldn't smell that great!

I've been told in the past that upset stomachs cause bad breath too. Maybe it's just a reaction while getting used to solids? Some baby probiotics might help - you could ask your chemist.

Thanks for the replies - she seems her happy self so will just let it be. I am glad she finally burped on DH though, I said to him when she burps she has bad breath and he told me I was imagining it, then last night he said he owed me an apology as she had just burped in his face.

My DD got bad breath right before she got a throat infection.......

Do you know how long before the throat infection started she got the bad breath Junglemum? She has had the bad breath (only when burping) for over a week now so I thought an infection would have shown by now?

DD had bad breath for about a week. i booked her in to the Drs to have it checked and she got a temp the morning i was taking her..... So maybe a bit longer than a week?
