Could you maybe take her for a swim? At least she'd get a rinse? if she was ok with that maybe you could persuade her into the bath with a swim nappy on? and then slowly take it forward from there.... Just a thought![]()
A few days ago DD did a poo in the shower. The next day she did a poo in the bath.
I didn't tell her off - just gently reminded her that we don't poo in the shower/bath, we do it in our nappy or the toilet.
Now, she just won't go in the bath/shower - normally you can't get her out of there.
She just screams and says, "no, poo coming, poo coming."
I've tried telling her that it's OK, mummy will clean up if she has an accident but still she won't go in. If we forcibly put her in the bath she almost kills herself clambering out again.
Yesterday I had to drain the bath I'd run and she was then happy to get in (with her nappy on) and play in the bubbles.
I figured we may have to take this v slowly.
So what do I do?
She's a tomboy. I can see dirt in her scalp. Basically, she's filthy.

What about working up slowly back to it? Maybe have wash with bucket water first? Set it in the bath so she can splash with the water from the bucket and you can sort of wash her down with it. I know its not the same as an actual bath or shower.
Then if she accepts that maybe have tiny bit water in the bath and increase it bit by bit?
Will she sit in the bath with her nappy on? You could try that then take her nappy off after she gets out and then clean her bits with a washer.
how about you sit her on the toilet before she has a shower and if she doesn't do a poo say it will be ok now you have no poos in there.. and just keep it light.. ie your voice..
My DD did a poo in the shower (well numerous times now lol) she was upset because of it and didn't like it and we finally worked out it was because she thought the shower was still dirty so we got her to watch while we cleaned it..
When DD got scared of the bath we first tried doing something fun... Maybe put her in the bath in a tshirt or something (that you can take off later) so she doesn't realise she is getting a bath
Anyway, my DD is obsessed with dolls and babies, so we gave her baby doll a bath... she loved doing this, and then i could give her a bath once she was in there and having fun.
Maybe if you got in with her? that also might calm her down?
Have you a clamshell type pool for outside? Perhaps try that for a bit with her to get her clean and then work from there. DD1 here had a UTI and trying to get her to wee was a nightmare here for ages - I feel for you!
BTW if you do use swim nappies the Huggies ones can be washed and dried and reused so it won't be so exxy to get her clean!
Good luck!
Thanks guys - we tried a few things with no success (I think we got up to Day 6 yeuk).
FINALLY had success with DP and I going in the shower together and dada washing mama. DD thought this was highly amusing and HAD to join in. She got a bit panicked half way through and said "poo coming" so we put her potty just outside the door and she hopped on that then got back in. DIdn't do a poo but did a wee.
FInally!
oh very inventive of your finoai love it..
my Dd has done this a few times, once she ahs done it she climbs out so fast i can never catch her lol.
for a whiel we had to wash her in her swimmer nappy, and then that could come off after a few days, but also getting ehr to sit on teh toilet before and after has helped her
