    Xenical- information and advice???

Can someone give me some advice on Xenical, was just reading another thread where it was suggested in passing. DF is on Duromine but I don't want to go on them again as they screwed aroudn with me big time.

We are currently TTC and I want to try to lose some of the 30kgs I gained with DS before I get PG again.

I'm just not sure if Xenical is ok when TTC???

    TIA

If you haven't tried it already, I'd steer clear or talk to a trusted GP before trying it.

There are some nasty "side effects" that the package claims will occur IF you ingest excess fat. I've been living with those side effects for three years now regardless of only taking the tabs for one month, and even if the food isn't fatty. Never EVER had a problem before. Ever. It is embarrassing and has caused me to be quite house bound at times. Working on a solution now with my doctors, waiting on a colonoscopy to see if anything else is going on in there. So far all agree that it seems related to the xenical

Have a look at a website called productreview (au site) and put xenical in the search engine , there are loads of reviews on there.

I'm no expert but I can't imagine xenical would be good if you are trying to conceive. I tried it once and also suffered embarrassing side effects. If you eat anything with any fat in it you may end up with an oil like pumpkin coloured excretion leaking from your butt, my friend tried it too, had the same side effects. I am suprised it hasn't been taken off the market
