Does this have a meaning or is it just messing with us?
My work is seriously haunted. I have written some threads about it on here and could write heaps more, things happen there every single day.
Last night at work both the girl I was working with and I heard a clock chiming several times, we ignored it at first thinking it was each others mobile phones or soemthing but it kept going. We both went looking for where the noise was coming from but couldn't find it, it seemed to move every time we got close to where we heard it coming from. This happened for about an hour then stopped completely.
I was talking to a friend this morning about it, she said that hearing clock chimes has some kind of meaning. I have googled myself stupid and can't find anything. Does anyone know?
No advice but i hope someone can help.
I can't imagine how it would feel to be looking for something for so long and then have it stop with no answers!
the old duck in the place...you know the radio chick ...how is she health wise????
I would take that chiming as a warning...soemthing is going to go off IFYKWIM wether its the business folding in, the owner selling up or someone getting really really sick.
I get the ekk's of a tall lanky lady with her hair in a loose bun who is peeved that things are out of sorts and place. She doesnt like the dripping tape either and a picture on the left wall
TD i've tried finding out some history on the place, all I can find out is that it's always been the kind of business it is now. Some of the old owners come in and I talk to them, one said the place was haunted when she owned it and described the same kind of things that we've experienced. She told me someone tried to commit suicide underneath the shop but didn't suceed. That's pretty much all I can find out.
Maz - I don't know how the radio chick's health is. I know she can't have kids. There's an older duck than her working there, her husband has cancer.
That's really interesting Maz, we have a dripping tap which drives me insane, we've had 2 people come in to fix it but nothing can be done about it so it just continues to drip. The left wall is a feature wall with lots of stuff on it. The only 'picture' I can think of on it is a newspaper that we found under the lino and framed. The's a stock whip, a clock and some nicknacks on the wall and a few plaques with funny sayings.
Things are out of sorts there, we've jsut finished renovating and hte place looks completely different than how it used to be.
Today I was standing at the salad bar and the other girl I was working with (radio biartch) was in the kitchen when the bell on the counter dinged! She came out thinking I had done it to trick her, which I hadn't, so we got to talking and I told her what Maz had said about the picutre on the wall when something suddenly occured to me. There's a picture of Ned Kelly on the door next to the counter so depending on which way you're facing in the shop it's on the left. That door used to be a wall before the renovations!
Did the building have some kind of connection to Law and or money??? I keep getting a man in a 3 piece suit now with a bald spot on his head and holding his jacket with both hands....adn the picture is osmething to do with distast of something that has happened.
Someone didnt like a clock chiming......death toll for them.....a knife is always being misplaced to...one with a big fat blade? SHE..(I keep getting an 'L' as her name) doesnt like these sort of knifes.
L is married to this man....no children sadly
I so have to come into your shop and have a touchy feel
Maz, you've given me goosebumps, knives and other kitchen implements go missing ALL the time! There is 1 big cooks knife that I used to love which vanished into thin air months ago. I always thought it had been misplaced in the renos. I actually hid it from one of the workers ages ago as a joke but I put it back afterwards, it went missing shortly after that, I though the other girl did it.
As far as I know the building has always been the kind of business it is now from the 1920's til now. It makes alot of money. People tend to buy it and run it for a few years, make their money and move on/
It's odd that you say they had no children, early in the morning a few weeks ago we heard what sounded like kids getting out of bed and running up a hallway.
My boss think's 'there's something wrong in my head' (in his words) when I talk about these things lol.
the building is pre 1920's though...?....1890ish..?...and it has been extended a few times from what I 'feel'...yellowish paint peeling of around a brown window or door frame
...creaky floor board near the back door which is located down a hall/walk way to the left of the building...is there an old trough there?...ahhhh leaky tap
It's a new trough (leaky tap there), but yes that's exactly how it is. There was an old trough behind the hall way wall before the renos, it's no longer there.
You know Lulu, I can't find out any history of that area. I found a book the other day while searching online but it's only a histroy of the school. I need to find something about the history of that particular town. It's not as well known as say the one starting with W.
I don't get scared, it intrigues me. Another worker often got scared though but she was always there by herself in the early mornings.
