Red face What cereals for 18 month old?

    Hi,
Ds is almost 18 months old and is a really good eater but lately seems to be getting a bit bored with his usual vita brits or oats, and they can be hard and messy for him to feed himself.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
What cereals do your little ones have?
I see the supermarket full of them, i just get so overwhelmed i don't know whats healthy and whats not, its so hard to tell.

    TIA

DD has only just increased her preferences in cereals and I haven't introduced anything too unhealthy. She has weetbix, porridge and just recently given her sultana bran. That's all she chooses from. I generally make it thick enough that it's not going to drop off the spoon and get everywhere. For some variety you could put yoghurt on top or cut up some fruit on top.

I tried Cherios for a while and DD quite liked them, but we're back to plain old weetbix - I tend to just change it up with adding sultana's or banana or honey. I also don't make it too sloppy so it sticks to the spoon.

My DD will eat Weet-Bix Lite (no added salt or sugar), Mini Wheats and oats. I also do what SammyRo does and change the cereals by adding sultanas, bananas, pear or apple. HTH
