    Scone Toast

Last night my sister and I went to Safeway at about 9pm. A trip to Safeway where I live takes hours and always involves seeing people you know and end up talking to for hours on end. So, last night we were lucky enough to only see 1 person we knew and chatted for what seemed like forever about my nephew's allergies then we continued our shopping. My sister said she needed Raisin Bread so we made our way to the bread aisle. This is where I spotted Scone Toast, as I saw it I had flashbacks of Crumpet Toast ewwwww. My sister and I made jokes about it and reminisced about how disgusting crumpet toast is and wondered if scone toast would taste good (yeah, we have no life ). Anyway, curiousity got the better of me when I noticed a Date and Caramel varitey so I bought it. I've just had 2 pieces of Scone Toast for breakfast and I have to say it's pretty good! It actually tastes like scones - toasted. I haven't looked at the nutritional panel, I dare say it says bad things but meh.

Sorry, i've rambled on about nothing really but I'm a wee bit bored and Scone Toast is pretty yum!

    Hey Tinks

I bought the buttermilk scone toast and thought it tasted pretty good with lots of butter and jam - yeah probably not very nutritional but....

I got the buttermilk one - tastes nice - very sweet - but in no way resembles an actual scone!

Tempted to get the date & caramel variety next tho I know I'll be fighting DH off to get a piece.

I brought some last week too and because you just can't have scones without jam AND cream, I brought some double thick cream and had butter, jam and double cream and it was sooooo good. Nothing like a scone at all, but still a nice treat.

That sounds deliciously naughty Trillian. The date one tasted like undercooked scones to me but it was yum.

I might have to try the other flavours.
