Received a call from the hospital

about a lady who is expecting a Trisomy 13 baby. My beautiful midwife who delivered Emmanual remembered me and asked if she could pass on my phone number to her. Wow, I was a bit shocked but of course said yes, I hope I can help her in some small way.

hugs hun - you have obviously come across to the middy as a wonderful and supportive person, even though you would have been going through hell

i know this will drag up a lot for you - only give of yourself what you are able to give - you will be an amazing support person, but you need to remember to protect your own heart as well hun

thinking of you - and of this new mummy-to-be

    hugs

Honey, that is such a wonderful thing you're going to do for this mum. I hope you both find some peace by talking to each other

Hugs hun it will bring up a lot of emotion for you but you are a strong amazing woman who will help this mummy to be with her journey.

She will probably help you as will be feeling all the feeling you had when you found out.

Hugs hun and make sure you protect yourself.

Thanks girls, I've started to wonder whether I'll be strong enough to help this lady, already feeling down and teary but off course it's bringing up emotions. It may well help me as much as it helps her. Thanks again.

That is really nice you are going to try and help her, although it may be hard for you.. I am sure if you are honest with her and tell her it may be difficult for you at times she will appreciate that.. Good luck.

Something is telling me that this is a calling in your life Dianne, to help people through these difficult times. Don't worry about sharing tears with this mother, I am sure she will appreciate your honesty.

good luck dianne, its a daunting experience talking to someone you have never met about what they have been through and are going through, but just talk from your heart. you know the things you hated to hear when you lost emmanuel and you know the things that helped, you'll do wonderfully. you may not realise but you do have the inner strength to do this, just by saying yes and giving your number has showed this.

    good luck

I think that you would be a beautiful person for her to talk to. You dont have to be perfect or totally together, you just need to be you and share your story like you have done here! Let her know about BB too!

You must have left a lasting impression on the staff, you are such a beautiful caring woman and to be able to be there and completely understand what another is going through would help her emmensly in dealing with such heart breaking news
