Electric Vs Manual

Hi Ladies

Just wondering what the consensus is on Electric Vs Manual pumps for comfort and long term durability?

Im about to have my first baby, and it seems the Medela Swing electric is very popular, but I have heard some electric pumps can be painful hence my question.

Im planning on having other children in the future, so want to invest in a good pump now that will sustain me over the next 3-6yrs. I plan to breastfeed so the pump would be about giving me time away from baby a few times a week etc so would expect to need it for moderate use over a long term period.

I used the medela electric pump and it was excellent and also have an avent manual pump which I also love.

The medela pump you can vary the suction and it starts of gently to stimulate a let down. It never hurt me and I loved it. HTH
