DD1 (3yrs) has fine hair like me. it knots very easily, combing results in lots of hair in the comb as does removing hair ties, not i know thats normal-ish, but what has me worried is the clumps that come out so easily should her little sister pull her hair or like yesterday when she pulled out a clip, a huge clump came out, pretty sure it broke and didnt come from the scalp but its got DH and i worried, is she lacking something in her diet or is this normal?
I'm not sure if she is lacking in something but you could try a naturopath to help? Also, if her hair is knotting when she's sleeping you could try a satin pillow case. I had to use these most of my life. My mum said my hair would always end up like a birds nest after sleeping. - HTH
I would try a naturopath too as brittle hair, nails and dry skin can sometimes be caused by not enough good fats in the diet- ie avocado, nuts, olive oil etc. Just a thought!
thought id update this, went to the healthfood shop and was advised to give her silica! helps with brittle hair, nails and dry skin, all of which DD1 had always had issues with!! its a mineral which she is obviously deficient in!
