For the past week I have been STRUGGLING to stay awake. I usually hear the alarm go off and I'm up bouncing out of bed - however for the last week I've been DRAGGING myself out anywhere from 6.15 -6.25am. Work has been an absolute STRUGGLE and I drag myself around doing my everyday work chores that I would do without blinking an eye ...
My sleeping routine has NOT changed, foods have NOT changed, I have NOT been doing ANYTHING different.
I had a routine check up done about 2-3 months ago and everything was normal (Iron levels etc)
To give you an example - Friday night i fell asleep at 7.50pm DP woke me at midnight, I got into bed fell asleep straight away and woke at around 930 sat morning. THEN Sat, I slept from around 3pm-530, woke up fell asleep at 8ish again DP woke me at midnight to get into bed, and woke up at 830 this morning. Today - I have slept for an hour ish and I needed to have a shower to wake myself up a bit, in saying that - I could go to bed and sleep, but i have ironing etc that needs to be done.
Can anyone suggest what could be wrong? Anything??
My first thought is you could be UTD, and my 2nd is that your thyroid might be playing up. I also notice your ticker shows you are losing weight. How are you doing this (ie atkins, slimfast, or old fashioned diet and exercise). If it is a restrictive diet then a sudden loss in energy could be attricuted to your body lacking a particular thing, like protein or carbs.
It could also be a virus or something, sometimes the only symptom you get is tiredness.
Regardless of the cause if you still feel like this in a week then a trip to the GP might be in order
First thing that comes to mind is UTD hehe cause that's what I have had!!! And also maybe low Iron levels can make u really tired so try eating some red meat or spinach!!!
