Baby Bonus Question

I lodged my BB app via post a couple of weeks ago. How long should I expect before first payment is made? Will it pay 6mos from then or will it back pay to baby's birth, and thus pay to 6nmos from that day.... dare I hope. TIA

it will pay 13 fortnights from the first payment that is made. it is generally processed within 3 weeks of the completed claim being received

I sent off our paper work the Tuesday after our baby's were born (Josh was born same day as Ioan- did I get it right- going by memory and I'm real tired tonight), we got our 1st payment last Tuesday which was not our usual FTB day- that was on Friday, so I'm going to assume its 6 months from when the 1st payment is made, cause it was the exact amount we're meant to get- $396 something. But it will be interesting to see what it'll be- I'm sure someone else will be able to correctly answer your question.
