    Woo hoo! DD is walking!

I'm very proud of my DD who is now walking!! She took her first steps about a month ago and today has turned it into short little walks! She's just turned 11 months so pretty much right on schedule after months of standing "look mum, no hands".

    Way to go baby girl!!

I know! She's rapidly shot up Marcey, DD is going to be WAAAAAYYYYY taller than her little mum! Not much baby left in her either, very much becoming a little girl.

It's so exciting isn't it AliB - do you find yourself watching her all the time, thinking today is the day she's going to get the hang of it? I've been saying for months that my DD "is almost walking!".

yea! me too! dd is turning one in 2 weeks and she is walking steady getting better each week. I must say i always hold my breath when she walks and she had a nasty fall a couple of weeks ago and left her with a cut on her cheek. Now im so paranoid do you let them walk around the house by themself? i do but with me holding her hands, now we made this play area with carpets so she can practise all by herself when im busy otherwise you wont know what there up to!

Hey Bubbles, DD is only really walking between things at the moment, still not that steady on her feet so I'm not sure what I'll do in regards to run of the house....I let her crawl wherever she wants, within reason & I'll play it by ear, I guess when it comes to walking. I've gated off areas I don't want her going into so that should be ok. Hard isn't it!

That's great!! I know what you mean about saying they're going to do something for months! DS has been on the edge of crawling since before Christmas and only just started properly a couple of weeks ago.
