dd will be 1 years old soon, so we are doing the formula to cows milk transition, just wanted to know what do you do when you go out? Surely you cant bring a bottle of fresh milk in a milk bottle for several hours without refridgeration? or can i? Or just buy milk when you go out? It was so easy when i was on formula, just to bring cooled boiled water out and mix up the milk and powder when she ready to drink, but i dont know what to do about fresh milk....any advice?
I nursed so didn't have no go through that transition, but as DS got older and wanted milk on the go, I bought a thermos sippy cup for taking milk out, or I bring an empty cup and buy a small milk while I'm out.
I buy one of those little cartons of milk and they drink it out of a straw. Once they are twelve months they don't need bottles anymore and only need three serves of dairy a day which turns out to be very little compared to the amount of formula they were drinking. I definitely wouldn't take milk out without it being refrigerated. It doesn't take long for it to go off. Hope that helps!
I buy the small UHT milk cartons (200mls) and just take a bottle/sippy cup along with me. My DS likes milk warm so can serve it straight from the carton. I find this handy in that I can have a few around the place and not worry about it going off.
are they any different to the fresh milk ones that they store in the fridge? Because that would be great for when going out, it can be difficult to find a small carton of milk and then find a way to heat it up!
