I need a new cot, I think mine has thorns (lol)

All jokes aside I'm not having any luck getting bub to go in the cot. He will sleep in the HAB, Fisher Price Swing or in my arms no worries but the minute I put him in the cot he is wide awake.

Night time isn't a problem, he sleeps in the basinette no worries but at 2 months and over 6kgs the basinette isn't going to be suitable for much longer. He doesn't like to be swaddled at all and sometimes needs dummy and sometimes not at all.

Any tips to gradually introduce the cot for daytime sleeps? I've tried all the tricks I know but it just isn't working. I'm not stessing yet, just trying to get him to have a sleep in there at least once a day as a gradual transition.

    TIA

Have you tried putting the bassinet in the cot?
I found when i wanted DD1 to get used to the cot i sat the basinett in there the first 2 times so she got used to what was in the room, then tried a day sleep in the cot and she was fine and i had no issues come time to swap her full time.

Not sure if that helps.. GL

My DS1 was exactly the same. The only way around it in the end was an Amby baby hammock! It was the best purchase we ever made

BTW I LOVE your ticker photo of your two boys, just gorgeous

What a great idea Zarava, I'll try that tomorrow.

Trish: How long can they be in the hamock for? DS has already rolled so I thought it wouldn't be suitable. Thanks for the comment on the boys.

DS1 was in his hammock until he was almost 2 years old . Most babies don't stay in that long, but he was addicted LOL! He never rolled in it once.

DD is 6 months old and has her day naps in it too. She can roll, but doesn't roll in her hammock. I think because it kind of snugs up around them it makes it difficult to roll over.

I hope you find something that works!
