Dreams are very fickle things, they often don't mean what you think they mean either. How did it make you feel? Perhaps the rapist was personifying your feelings of insecurity or vulnerability towards something? Dreams often relate to something that happened in the last 24-48 hours, did you interact with a male that made you feel vulnerable/insecure? Did you see a creepy dude on the street that freaked you a bit?

I meant to answer this post the other day - I was thinking about it in the bathroom this morning LOL. I believe in the dreams-representing-something-in-your-psyche school of dream interpretation, so I wonder if any of this resonates for you:

Typically water in a dream represents the subconscious, and so a bathroom indicates a space where you can attend to your subconscious, to dealing with old/buried issues, to 'cleansing' yourself of issues, etc, and renew yourself. That it's your mother's bathroom indicates that this could relate to an issue that began when you still lived with your mother, or at a time relating closely to becoming a mother yourself. The rapist I think is about your sense of power, sexual power, creativity and self-determination - do you feel that these are under threat at the moment, perhaps as a result of your changing role/situation being pregnant. Do you feel out of control in any way, or do you feel like there is an unresolved power-issue playing out in one of your close relationships, that's eroding your access to creative time/your sense of feminine power? Even something like feeling disempowered by a male medical caregiver (your Ob or GP?), or unresolved feelings about the circumstances of your first birth could be flagging your attention in a big dream like this. The quickest way to get to the bottom of this dream is to ask yourself what you fear at this time...there's an issue you need to 'process' that you have buried, your inner healing self knows you need to address this at this time, so you can move forward. Fear is a powerful thing but your subconscious knows you can move through this.
