Sandpits & Spiders?
I want to get the children a sandpit, but I am worried about spiders (and other creepy crawlies). I would want one that has a cover, but thats not going to stop spiders getting in. Am I being paranoid? Or are there any preventatives? Has anyone had any problems with bugs in and around the sanpit? We are in VIC.

For me its more the having to shake your kids out upside down before letting them back in the house!

We have 2 dogs that I would need to keep out also, but I really dont like creepy crawlies!

I've had a toad creep under, but never seen any spiders in ours. We're in QLD, but I don't know that it would make much difference. Just give it a quick rake after you lift the cover if you're worried.
