Throwing, destroying, toppling...normal boy play?

DS (21 months) is really not an aggressive child at all, but lately his play has been all about 'destruction'-eg- if there is something sitting on a shelf, he will pick it up and throw it off; if I've made a stack of blocks, he will topple it over; if there is paper, he will rip or crumple it.

Is this just normal toddler boy play, or is this unusual?

Totally normal. We call our toddler destructacon for a reason.

Totally normal hun DS1 is the same!!

We call him a Tornado or descructo child!!

LOL seems we all have similar names for our toddler- we call DS The Destruction Monster

I would say that it is just normal for toddlers in general. MJ went through this stage and still has days where she is completely destructive!
This morning she built a tower only to knock it down and then throw/push all the peices so they were really far away from each other.
She also like tipping all her toys out of the toy box, emptying draws or ripping paper!

Completely normal.We're going through the exact same thing here at the moment too.
It's so fun to rip, tip, and destory!

Bahahahahan boy play? No, normal TODDLER play. We don't call it 'Cyclone Jasmine and her path of destruction' for nothing!

It's not only little boys....the Dragon is just the same.
