    Weaning from expressed breast milk

    Hi there
just wanted some advice. I am about to start weaning from expressing/breast feeding (as want to try for another bub before I am too old and need cycle back for IVF) - and am wondering best way to do it.

At the moment baby is having two feeds on breast (when she is sleepy which is only time she will drink off breast), and three bottles. I have been expressing three times a day. I was thinking of perhaps cutting out one expressing session a week and then stop feeds on breast last - what do people think. Also when weaning off expressing - when I do express should I still empty the breasts - I have found if i express once less a day I just get more milk the next time I express so not sure. Really want to wean as quickly as possible (have some frozen EBM so will get DD through till 6 months). DD is also now on solids (on advice of paediatrician to increase weight gain)

    Would love peoples thoughts

If the breastfeeds are easier, I'd cut out the expressing first. To take it nice and slow, it's generally recommended to gradually cut one feed per week.
The ABA can give you some advice on how best to go about it. All the best with ttc
