    another ccb question

why is there a real difference when you put in the estimator the hours per week the kids will be in care? when i did it first time round i put in 24hours and got certain amount of $$ out of pocket expenses. then i put in 20 hours and the out of pockets and CCb went up yet the ccb % remained the same.

what is the best hourly figure to put in. the kids will actually be in care for 18hours a week. so i should go with the 20hour option on the estimator?

The only thing I can think of is once you go over a certain number of hours in a week, you aren't considered 'part time' any more and the amount centrelink pay of fees is slightly less.
Is this LDC or family daycare?
Are you changing the hourly charges as well as the hours?

its long day care. i put in the daily fee that the centre charges and it remained the same in both variations (10 hours and 12 hours claimed). i may have to call em... :-(

Does the centre charge a full day? They will claim for 12 hours (or whatever their full day is) so that will be submitted in their usuage, whether your child attended for all of those hours or not.
If you are putting in say $60 for the charge and then 10 hours, the amount you pay will differ if you put in $60 and 12 hours because the hourly allowance will be different. You get allowed (not sure exacltly how much) $3.60/hour, so if you put in 10 hours it will work out the allowance as $36, if you put in 12 hours if will work it out to be $43.20.
The ccb will go up the more hours you use, the ccb% is income based so it won't change when you change the hours of use.
