    White Spot on Nipple

For about ten days now I've had a white spot on one nipple about 2mm across. I did think blocked duct at first because it did feel like a section was not draining. So I made sure to feed with chin pointing to that section and hand expressed that bit too and I could see that milk does flow from the white spot okay. But now it won't go away and TBH feeding from that side has been pretty painful since the spot arrived but hard to tell if that's cause I've been trying to get the spot to disappear and damaged my own nipple, or is because of the spot!

I've tried a needle and tweezers to lift the edge of it if it is a blister or skin overgrowth but that hasn't worked. It seems to be deeper than just skin level. I've triple checked to make sure milk is flowing from underneath it and it is. It does look it's widest and biggest after a feed, and sometimes can almost settle to just a dot between feeds.

    Any suggestions?

Try the ABA hotline 1800 mum 2 mum. There are also some older threads on here about the same thing, so maybe a quick search?
