    photos printed on canvas?

So I'm wanting to get a photo printed on canvas...

I know you can get them done at places like Big W and Kmart now - but can anyone tell me what the quality is like? I'm wanting to get a really good quality product, as its a very special photo of my parents.

Does anyone have any recommendations for me?!

    TIA xo

    Hey there,

I had a print done on canvas thru Harvey Norman - it cost about $60 I think, for about 30cmx30cm square and it looked fantastic!

The key is the photo quality - make sure you use a really high resolution photo, one that can handle being blown up wthout looking terrible.

    Good luck!

We got some printed at Big W and they are gorgeous. We did it online and then picked them up at our local store a few days later. They were 50% off too so even better!

My DH sells canvas prints through his photography studio. They are loads more expensive than retail outlets though. There is a difference in quality - but if you can't tell the difference then go for the cheaper one!

i agree that the resolution of the photo will have a huge bearing on how it appears on your canvas. yes there will be a difference in quality from the exxy studios to the cheaper online ones - but the online ones (big w/snap fish) still look good - provided the quality of the photo is good

LOL! Don't tell your DH you said that!

Saw one at a friend's house, was a glamour shot of her pregnant. It looked so classy!

PMSL, he knows how I feel. He even gives the same advice to people... Occasionally people we know (or who know people we know) think they should book him for their weddings, but they can't see why his photography is more expensive. He tells them that if they can't see why, they should book someone else
What I mean is, you can get great quality photography with great quality canvasses from a professional studio if you haven't got a good enough quality photograph to do your own decent-looking canvas with.
The other thing that looks great for enlargements are acrylic prints. They're a very different look to the canvas, but look brilliant.

Try fabness, they seem better than the ones I have from big w/snapfish etc and they have a sale every second week and loads of scoupon deals

We were very happy with the large canvas we have from fabless through a scoupon. The image was a professional high res image which also contributed to how well it turned out

I have used a company in qld called the canvas art factory. Everything was done over the Internet and their service is fantastic they even fix the photos. I've had two canvas collages done for myself and quiet a few individual photos
