Old farts section or chatter thread

I have been meaning to ask this for ages now. I wonder if it would be too hard for some of us *cough cough* older members to have our own chatter section. It would just be nice to at times to chat to others of a similar generation, whether it is about trivial things or serious things.

Now I am not talking about maturity, as some 35+ people can be very immature, but it is just more an age thing, like that we were around when Star Wars was in the big screen for the first time and it was just Star Wars, not Episode IV.

Yeah, being able to remember all the 80's is a good thing, that is why I was thinking 35+, I would have suggested 40+, but I am not quite there yet

Old farts, mature members, wise ones. Whatever, not fussed on a name.

I think if the age gets dropped too much then there may as well not be a separate group, otherwise everyone will be a member! Trust me wont be long till 35 comes around. Will be just my luck though and the mods will say yes to a 40+ group.

Then we will want other people having their aged groups as well. It has been brought up a few times over the years.

It thought there were aged based groups? Sure I have seen some Younger couples thread or something like that, or maybe I am going blind in my old age

Hmm been thinking of the entrance criteria....maybe how fast you could complete a rubix cube. Could you name 2 flavours of sunnyboys? Recite the lyrics to Run to Paradise?
Maybe giving too much away about me tho

Yeah - we can discuss things like impending menopause and greying pubic hair

On a serious note it would be nice. I'm sure there is an area for young members to share their issues isn't there?

great idea. read yesterday about an "old" justin timberlake song. I thought he was a recent whipper snapper and an old song was pre-1991, but that's just me.

Mak - could never get the hang of rubix cube, used to get the sunnyboy show bag from the Melb Show but can't remember the flavours (orange and the red one??). I can recite the lyrics to 99 Luftballoons and White Wedding - do they count?

Also, sometimes reading about the dramas that girls on BB are going through in their early 20s makes me feel like an old agony aunt. Though I don't feel 36
