Red face Wall stickers for baby nursery

DP and I want to have a Winnie the pooh theme of our baby girls nursery. I am looking at wall stickers but i want to know what experiences people have had with them, i have a list of questions:

    Are they any good?

Is there somewhere i should look at getting them, like places i should avoid?

Are they hard to put up?

Do they fall off, like when it gets really hot do they tend to fall off?

Sorry if my questions seem daft i have never thought about having them and i don't know anyone with them.

I just bought some ones for my DD#3 bedroom (we've just built another room, so all kids have shifted into their own room)....i only paid $12 for about 8 stickers from a dollar shop. They seemed good quality though..... and they were so cute. But they all fell off the wall within an hour or so of me putting them up. They looked stupid with blu tac underneath them...the girls played with them for a bit, stuck them on each other, stuck them on the floor, then i chucked them. Moral of my story, you get what you pay for. Maybe go to a proper baby shop, see the nursery deco section, and ask questions.....

I got some quite expensive ones from a baby shop for DD2 (Disney princess) and DS (Winnie the pooh) they were $25 a packet from memory (3 yrs ago) but they were great. They survived 2 moves and peeled off when we moved with no drama or mess then restuck beautifully.

If you pay a little extra it's worth it. I got mine from a stall for $29 and they are absolutely beautiful. You can peel them off if you put them on wrong and they go straight back on. Just make sure that the wall is clean and dry before you put them on...no dust, as it will quickly cause them to lose stickiness. Mine have never fallen off or peeled at the edges. It's worth the little bit extra. They look gorgeous. I know you can get them off ebay.....maybe google them too? HTH

Definiately don't buy cheap ones! I got some from a warehouse type place and yep.. fell off and took the paint with it . I'm actually looking on some on ebay now to make into pictures on canvas for DS's walls. There is some fantastic ones on there.
I should also add I then brough some more expensive ones (about $30 i think) and they were fantastic. I put them on the roof above DS's change table - so a difficult place to reach but so easy to put up iykwim - and they've been up there for 2 years now. His room can get quite hot but they haven't peeled or anything.

I got mine from Big W before having DD..

If renting, don't get the borders, as they stick and peel paint, but the characters I have go on and off like Blu Tac. Most are still on the wall, except for the ones that DD peeled off above the change table, and when she stands on the bed..

I've sent you a PM with a url for an awesome online store that I've been buying mine from. Massive range, top brand products, great prices and awesome delivery times in my experience.

I got mine from Giggle Smile Designs (google it) they are a bit exxie but worth every cent. DD has butterflies and DS has this beautiful tree with birds and stuff.
One was a wet and stick one and the other was a traditional stickers and backing paper type one. Both easy, no mess and came off when I needed but not before.

    hi there!

i got some good quality ones and they survived two moves (in fact they would of gone on, but i found prettier ones and upgraded lol).

the only thing is that if the walls are brick or a concrete (even if painted over) they can be hard to stick and keep stuck ITMS. usually when it got humid they would occassionally fall. but since we have moved to a place with properly plastered walls there are no issues.

we have got two different lots off ebay - the first were awesome the second not so great.

just make sure that they CAN stick to paints with Teflon in it (dulux wash and wear for example) I discovered my second lot of stickers that are currently up in the nursery don't work on the paint I used so I am forever rubbing them over to restick them.

I bought some fantastic ones from Ebay for DS2 (Disney Cars)
They have survived a move of house and have not once fallen off the walls. They are really easy to remove and have not left a mark ever. From memory I paid around $30 with delivery.

We had pooh bear theme in DS1's nursery and i just happened to find them in a random baby shop. They were classic pooh which was my preferance. I don't think i paid more than $20-25 for them. The stuck and pealed off beautifully. I think only one or two took a bit of paint with them. If only i still had them i'd post them to you

For the decoration of the 'big boys room' i ordered wall art from Bosco Bear (i hope i'm allowed to say that), they were very expensive and did peal a little. I called the company and they said it may have something to do with the paint as we used a wash and wear paint. There was just a bit of a curl on some of edges. I got a free packet of wall art stickers (for our second nursery) from them for the inconvieniance though which was very nice of them

Re: Wall stickers for baby nursery

I got mine from eBay. They stuck quite well. Just make sure the wall is clean and dry before you stick them. Then wipe over them with a damp cloth. Also don't stick them on a hot day.
