    Freezing food - how long?

    Hi, Just wondering:

    1. how long can I freeze the baby food I make? Will it stay ok if its frozen for months?

    2. When I defrost the veg, how long can it stay in the fridge till I feed my baby?

So far, I have made pumpkin, pear, apples, carrots and will do some sweet potato today.

    Thanks!

I believe it is 3 months in the freezer. And I'm not entirely sure on the fridge time, but I pull mine out the night before so it's used within 24 hours.

IT depends on the food, and the freezer

Most fridge freezers are -16C and most seperate freezers (chest or upright) and SOME fridge freezers are -17.8C / 0F

The colder temp freezers generally keep food for double the length of time as the -16C freezers

Lots of Freezers tell you (either a picture of written on the inside of the door) or it would have been in the manual how long food types last. Some meats are 3months, some are 6mths etc

I will see if I can find anything online - you could also google the manufacturer of your freezer and see if htey can help you.

WRT the defrosted food, if it was frozen as soon as you prepared it, then 24-48 hours.
