congratulations, thats a fantastic effort & your wonderful for not giving up when it was hard![]()
When DS was born and I had some problems in the beginning I didn't think we would make it to 3 mnths feeding (even bought a tin of formulae).
Then DS got teeth and I thought that would be when we weaned but even though I did get bitten we worked through it together.
When DS was 12 mnths the comments started about it being time to wean...
all the time DS showed no signs of slowing down, he still doesn't if truth be known. Sometimes we have days where he feeds like a newborn, others he won't even have a feed through the day. Although his night feeds seem to be consistentbut I do cherish those moments that we sit feeding before bed and those cheeky smiles that I get when I know he is playing
I also cherish those midnight cuddles and will have a lot of memories when he refuses to let me kiss or cuddle him as he get's older.
So here we are just over 2 years after our journey has started and we are still going strongI am happy to follow his lead.
congratulations, thats a fantastic effort & your wonderful for not giving up when it was hard![]()
my son is 16 months old and still breastfed too. inkow what you mean. I had troublie in the beginning and persevered. Then he teethed and we got throught that and I thought we would just wean himself. but he is a booby boy at heart and cant get through a night without it.
Big huge congratulations! You're doing a fantastic job!
Happy 2nd birthday to your little man too!

Happy for both of you!!
Congrats hun! Can't believe he's two already, happy birthday little man.
May you enjoy many more bfing snuggles yet.![]()
That's great!
Congrats!! I think it's wonderful and I do regret weaning Jake, so I think you are by far doing the right thing! Recognising how precious these moments are is so wonderful, it took me until #3 to fully appreciate it all, and that's knowing he is my last. So I envy you for enjoying it all with your first.
With much love,
Bec

Good on you!!!Well done.... keep enjoying that beautiful bond you have together. It's so special.
I'm glad you are still doing the night feeding.... I too, am not night weaning (not going to attempt to either) and have just accepted that she still needs those night feeds
You're right.... one day they won't want to be woken in the night and although we'll get more sleep, we'll miss these nights hey
They're only little once.
I'm very proud of you! you're a great role model to others like myself!!!! I hope I can continue feeding DD until she's 2 and maybe who knows after that! At one stage, like yourself, I too didn't think we'd make it past 2 or 3mths! (with probs etc)
AMAZING thing we are doing for our littlies.
