hiya. It's a month to our first wedding anniversary. Apparently DH has already got me a present. I am completely blank as to what to get him. The only thing I could think of is a Sat Nav, but thought maybe that's better for a birthday present (ignoring whether or not I can afford one atm). I feel like a wedding anniversary present should be more romantic/personal.....
1st Wedding Anniversary
Traditional Gifts: Paper
Modern Gifts: Clocks
* Artwork
* Love letters and poetry
* Favorite book
* Memory album
* Stationary with new married name
* Home decor
* Gift certificates
* Cigars
* Book of floor plans (if building a house soon)
* Life insurance
* Geneology
* Tickets to a play, concert, or sporting event
* Wood sculpture
He does read, but 1) he already has a pile of books to read and 2) he sells his books once he's read them cos he doesn't re-read. I've told him I refuse to buy him books if he's just going to sell them
I also thought about a watch, but he's quite particular about his watches and he turns them over every couple of years.
Thanks for the advice
The other thing I've been thinking of is making a photobook of our time together (not just our wedding photos)
I'm approaching my first wedding anniversary in October and have the same dilemma! Perhaps a nice weekend away? Or even a day away.. A personalised gift maybe? What is he interested in?
I always give my DH a certificate for something cool, I've given him Hot Laps in a race car at Calder Park, Lion Feeding at Werribee Zoo & a ride in a Tiger Moth.
There are heaps of websites where you can buy experiences like these if your DH is into adrenaline kind of things.
