So I just got my ergo, and its brilliant except for one thing; the shoulder straps.
I cannot adjust these in any way shape or form to stop them slipping off my shoulders. If I try to tighten them, they just end up fitting more snuggly under my arms and don't actually tighten at all. The strap that connects the two shoulder straps is too low on the back to do anything; everything above it is still too lose. I'm getting shoulder pains from constantly pulling the straps back up, and its dangerous for bub.
Not sure if the Ergo is like this but often the back connecting strap can be moved up and down the shoulder straps with a bit of fiddling... Are you particularly small or tall or anything? Mine sits perfectly up between my shoulder blades... When I tighten the shoulder straps it has the effect of pulling baby closer to me, not get them tighter as such...
Just had a look and it does look like you could adjust the height of the back-strap on mine - it's an Ergo Sport though.
Where do you have the strap that connects the two shoulder straps? Mine is high enough on my back so I can reach over my shoulder and connect them? I can't see how the straps will fall off at all actually... so you got me puzzled!
I moved the strap all the way to the top, unless I can move it over the actual padded part? Is that what you mean?
Part of the problem is that the waist band keeps riding up I think (note to self; lose weight or buy the extender strap!) but even when I adjust it so its lower, the straps still slip. I have really lame shoulders btw, I can't wear a bag on my shoulder or it just falls off I'm 165cm and a size 16/18 so not overly unusual, though the waist strap is a tad pinchy XD
edit: YOU CAN! You can move it onto the padded bit!! W00H00! This SHOULD solve it, will have to wait til bub wakes up to check. HA! Not placenta brain or anything! I've chucked it on without bubs in it and I have a very good feeling about this. You ladies are rad <3

There is a great website that I used when learning the ergo. Google ergo lady and she is the first one that comes up. I know you will love it when you get going.
Am getting there! It's quite usable but I still have some problems, particularly getting it on and off and adjusting it for comfort. It came with a DVD which I really should watch at some point XD
I have problems getting the shoulder clip on & off too. I have a very bad right shoulder that just doesn't like to move in the way needed to get it done up.
OK this may be a dumb question but do you wear the straps across your back in a X? Cos if so this carrier is waaaay too small for me. I can see there's a waist extension but no back strap extention.
edit: I wish it had come with instructions on paper rather than just the DVD. But I found them online - had it right the first time lol.

Yeah no X - just a little strap connecting them up behind your neck/shoulders... high enough that you should be able to reach back and connect the catch.
