Firstly, thanks for taking the time to read this and/or reply!
I have been feeling really light headed and dizzy for about the past week, which seems to be aggrivated by a bad nights sleep. However, what is worrying my now is that i cant focus on far away objects without them "jumping" slightly and then i get shimmering spots around the edges of my eyes.
Any idea what this could be??? I did have vertigo before falling pg, but this feels different.
I have heard of anaemia, Low BP, High BP. Could it be pre-eclampsia at such an early stage??
I am seeing my Ob next Thursday, and where i live there are waiting lists to see doctors for about a week, so my only other option is the ED, but i dont want to cause trouble for nothing.
Oh i have had bad morning sickness - throwing up 3 - 4 times a day, if this would be making a difference?
Firstly Congratulations on your pregnancy ....you sound as though your doing it pretty tough with all the morning sickness and now the dizziness etc.
I had pre-eclampsia with my second pregnancy , i had stars flashing infornt of me along with high bp and protein in my urine.... i'm not sure how early you can develop pre-eclampsia but i would be going to the Dr's to rule it out.
It could be low blood sugar from m/s. Are you noticing headaches or had a migraine?
Does it get better if you eat something or drink something like flat lemonade (good way to boost your blood sugar). I don't know if dehydration can cause it, but check how much you're drinking and keeping down.
I don't think it's nothing, so go to ED if it gets worse or worrying. Can you call your OB office to ask (don't know if they're open Saturday). I wouldn't wait until Thursday.
tashybabe - thanks for your reply too. Im not sure if its dehydration - i drink between 3 and 4 600ml bottles of water a day, plus a glass of milk, juices and cups of tea etc. I think (think!) im getting enough. I have had a few headaches the last few days?
I have decided that if I dont feel better after a sleep this arvo, i will get DH to take me to the ED and see what they have to say.
The other thing that it could be is that you may have put your neck out. I once put my neck out and had black spots in my vision. Worth checking.
I hope that you find your answers.
