    Toddler beds

Are they the same size as a cot? Just without the sides?

I am thinking that maybe the normal size single bed might be too daunting for DD, and the design of the slats on our single bed can't use a side barrier.

I'm pretty sure they all are. DS is in a toddler bed, its his cot without the sides. Was made to convert.
I've seen a few that don't convert & they look about cot size too.

The toddler bed we have for DD1 is the same size as a cot - we got it from target.

The toddler bed we have for DS is bigger than a cot, but not as big as a single. We got it from IKEA.

Most toddler beds are the same size as a cot. We used one for DS1 and put his cot mattress on it.

DS2 went straight into the bottom of a bunk bed without any dramas, I just put a bed rail up so he doesn't fall out

We have just brought JB a full size single thomas the tank bed its same size as a single but low to the ground and has sides on it, we decided this would at least last 6-7 years or so before he outgrows the thomas thing whereas toddler beds are outgrown in like 12 months

We currently have a trundle bed, so low to the ground, but I seem to end up in it most nights. She has slept in my nephews bed no worries, but it has sides on it.

I am thinking the smaller space and sides might help her feel more secure.. We are going away next week and the caravan has single beds, so she will be in a space between the beds about the size of a cot/toddler bed (about and inch shorter), so will see how she goes in the space..

I just want her out of my bed for a start, then I will try and transition into her own room..

We have a toddler bed from Target and it is the same size as a cot - takes a cot mattress. DD1 has been in it for 2 years. DD2 will go into it once DD1 has grown out of it so it has earned its keep with us.

Ive put DD from our bed (co-sleeping) straight to a single bed that I have put bed rails on both sides & she is fine with it when she's in there
