Electric Blankets and Ice Packs - Are They Safe Bedfellows?

I need to ice my dodgy pelvis every night but last night it was chilly so wanted to put the electric blanket on and do again tonight.

I'm sure there's a simple rationale for this but I can't work it out.

    Is it safe?

I was a bit concerned that when the ice pack defrosted a bit that water would get on to the electric blanket and I would fry.

But then I thought that this can't possibly be the case because what if someone was to wet the bed?

Can someone please pop in with some sensible words otherwise I will do it but won't be able to chillax.

I'm pretty sure the elements are waterproof? Can you google the make of your blanket?
